Both IDE-cables fit exactly the components (one cable for connecting the optical drive, one flat cable for hard disk as well as a short S-ATA cable). In addition the Heatpipe solution including fan and holding device, of course. (...) To be emphasized positivly is the intelligent Heatpipe-cooling as well as the new power supply that is real cooler compared to its predecessor. (...) All in all, the quality of the Realtek ALC650 chip is outstanding. (...) The improved memory performance has clear positive effects on the nForce3 barebone system in Quake 3 Quaver Benchmark. (...) The Shuttle barebone offers all a overclocker's heart can demand. (...) This time there are no stability lacks reported. All tests were passed flawlessly at the first go.
Conclusion:
The Shuttle barebone caused no problems during our tests. It was absolutely stable all the time. Especially the improved power supply has to be pointed out compared to former barebones (...). The cooling idea is well thought over. Thanks to Cool&Quiet support, the SN85G4 is absolutely fit for living-room. Performance has also been improved since our AN50R test in October 2003.
