"Yet another winner in Shuttle's highly regarded line of XPC [Barebones,]" is how the IT-experts of the American hardware website Hothardware.com finished the review of the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN25P. This SFF PC will leave new friends behind when leaving the labs Hothardware.com as it "performed very well throughout our entire battery of benchmarks" and was "one of, if not the best small form factor system to come through the HotHardware labs in a while."

Built around the new NVIDIA nForce4 chipset and wrapped up in the P-chassis, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN25P promises "to be a very capable SFF PC." But can it keep its promises? After the case is taken off to install the components everything appears tidy and clearly structured. Cables come pre-wired, led along on the sides of the cage. The installation was finished without tools making the setup "extremely easy." Having installed the components, the next step ahead is: benchmarking. Throughout all benchmarks run on the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN25P it "performed very well." If you think a SFF PC cannot compete with its bigger counterparts, you should think again. "[It] performed on-par with its full-sized counterparts in every test," as the editors found out. There's no sacrifice of performance to go with this SFF PC. This performance doesn't come at the expense of noise however: "[if you want] a near-silent system, the SN25P would be a great choice." The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN25P is definitely "another winner in Shuttle's highly regarded line of XPC systems." Complete with a well "appointed BIOS and good looks" this SFF PC never compromises on performance.

Conclusion:

"The SN25P XPC is one of, if not, the best small form factor systems to come through the HotHardware labs in a while. Based on its performance, feature set, good looks, and intelligent design, we're giving the Shuttle SN25P XPC a solid 9 on the Heat Meter."
